What is K'Cho Catholic Community planning?

The committee is planning to fulfill the following fundamental needs of K'Cho people.

1. Arranging in-house-training on English,Maths and Computer skills to upgrade overall educational level of the children.

2. Organizing pray meeting , Eucharistic celebration, experience sharing , exchange informations and encourage each other.

3.Motivating young people to act for improving their own destiny through teamwork.

4.Providing Healthcare and Emergency needs of the people.

I.Community Social Services

Community Home

The committee sets up the Community Home for all K’Cho people so that

. we can run an office to deal with the people's needs and problem offically,

· we can gather our Catholic brothers and sisters for religious purpose,

· we can work on documenting regarding UNHCR or Church,

· they can stay and improve their Health when they have health problem,

· they can stay when they come to Kuala Lumpur from their work-place for Holy Mass
such as Christmas and Len Ten Seasons.

Children's Education

We are planning to arrange in-house-training on English and Maths to the children because they live in different places , therefore, we find difficult to place them in the same place for their education. However, we can start up the children's education on 3th Jun,2008. The class starts with 9 children. We have learnt from the children that they become to get self-confidence for their education, that is, we have a school something like that.To educate the children is the most important for us because the children are our future of K'Cho Land. And we are still trying to find more NGOs for support to the children.

Aims

To prepare the fundamental needs of the children in English and Maths, especially for those who are leaving for third countries resettled by UNHCR in Malaysia.

To upgrade overall educational level of the children for their future.

To help the children learn general knowledge and society.

To help the children with their progress through education.

To help the children have fun with learning.

To help the children build up their own destiny.

To help the children learn positive thinking for their LifeStyle.

To help the children upgrade their Living Standard.

Health Care

The community has a plan to contact Health Care or Health Centre for the needy. Now we contact and work with ACTS and Catholic Doctors Association in Malaysia for the needy. This is the reason why we are trying to contact Health Care Centres that the family or the patient cannot affort his/her treatment on his/her own.

Aims

To be able to provide vaccinations of the Children.

To help the people in need with the service of providing medical care.

To help the people in need save the cost of their health care or medical care.

To provide the people in need a place where they can stay for short periods of time to try to improve their health .

To help the people keep healthy and fit.

Emergency Problems

We are planning to contact Catholic Communities and Catholic Churches to help the people who have emergency problems such as Accidents, the people in Hospital and so on. St.Vincent De Paul Society, Kumpulan A.C.T.S and Catholic Doctors Association help us for Emergency Problems. Even though the assistance is still needed for those who cannot afford his/her treatment.

Aims

To help the people who meet accident for their urgent treatment

To help the people hospitalized or in hospital

To help the people who are sick or ill, especially for those who have financial problem for their treatment

To contact UNHCR for the people who meet accidents, the people in Hospital and the people arrested by the Police or Rela

To help the people in Jail

To help the people arrested by Police or Rela in time

To help with Funeral Service when somebody meets his/her final end

II. Religious Services

Organizing BEC ( Pray Meeting )

We start BEC , pray meeting on 20th of January,2008. We visit our catholic brothers and sisters at their home and do prayers with them every Sunday of the week at 5:00 pm. In this way, we can help the family with their mentality through religion, we believe. Mostly, they do not have time to go to church for prayer because they have to spend their time at work most of the week.

To help the people keep in touch with Church

To help them learn Catholicism

To let them know that the Church is our home.

To build up Unity, teamwork and a sense of friendship among them

To be able to let them share their experiences and their feeling

To motivate young people to act for improving their own destiny through religious and social welfare.

To get informations and know their situations and their needs

To let them know the Community's services

To be able to upgrade our Community Service through teamwork
